Lakes of the North is an Annual Assessment Property Owners Association southwest of Gaylord in Antrim and Otsego Counties of Northern Michigan. The current Annual Assessment for land owner base membership is $380.00 for the first lot and $214.00 for every secondary lot you own. To qualify for a secondary lot rate the deeds must match and the lots must share a subdivision.  Annual Assessments are not billed and determined on amenity usage, lot development, or primary residence, all who own a lot in the Association are responsible for paying the base membership cost. It offers four seasons of outdoor activities to its members and their guests.

Our amenities include an 18-Hole Golf Course, Pro-Shop, full-service Restaurant/Tavern all of which are Open to the Public.  Member exclusive areas include Pencil Lake and Harold Lake beach access and beach houses, Activities Clubhouse with a Pool, Whirlpool, Water Slide, along with 2 outdoor Tennis/Pickleball Courts, Shuffleboard, Horseshoes and playground.  The Winter Sports area has an Ice Rink, Cross Country Ski and Snowshoe trails which serve as hiking trails in the summer.  Campers Village is an all-season facility for members to enjoy with their camper.  

Throughout and surrounding Lakes of the North you will find hundreds of miles of ATV/Snowmobile Trails to ride on.

We are located just 20 minutes to both Boyne Mountain Resort and Shanty Creek Resort and 45 minutes from Traverse City or 25 minutes from Gaylord.

As a buyer, it is your responsibility to conduct thorough research on the property before making a purchase. This includes verifying that the lots you intend to buy do not have any outstanding association dues or delinquent taxes and are free from liens or other encumbrances.
 
If you purchase a lot with a lien, you may inherit those debts and legal fees, potentially resulting in foreclosure. We strongly recommend conducting title work.

New owners must submit a copy of their recorded deed to the association and complete the New Owner Registration form above. We cannot update our ownership records without first obtaining the recorded deed. Deeds can be emailed to [email protected]
